Dennis and Andrew

Amazing Race: Season 3

Dennis and Andrew Hyde were the first father and son team to ever race around the world vying for the million dollar prize on The Amazing Race 3, the first Emmy Winning season. Dennis, the conservative Southern Baptist father and Andrew the liberal gay son, are originally from Louisville, Kentucky before moving to Lexington during Andrews' childhood.

At barely 21, Andrew is the youngest contestant to face The Amazing Race (Excluding Family Edition) and this father son duo hold the title of being the only team to win a Fast Forward and be eliminated in the same leg due to problems at an airport. Eventually Dennis and Andrew were eliminated in Scotland but both agree The Race was a uniting moment for the pair.

Currently, Dennis runs an entertainment facility in Lexington, Kentucky with Ice Skating Rinks, Arcades, and a Miniature Golf Course that was featured on the Travel Channels Top 10 Themed Putt-Putt Courses.

Andrew is a former International Dance Champion in Los Angeles in 2004 and Cheerleading National Champion in 2005. He has been featured on ESPN twice for ranking top in nation in Cheerleading. Currently Andrew speaks at events around the Midwest and has worked for over four years in HIV/AIDS Education, Testing and Counseling.
