Who is going to be attending this year?
On June 27th, 2009 Louisville Ky will once again be the site for the Kentuckiana Police and Fireman's Benefit. We will be hosting over 600 police officers, firefighters, military personnel and local citizens for a day of Challenges at Six Flags Kentucky kingdom and night of fun and live entertainment. This is an event for charity. The proceeds will sponsor the annual Kosair Children's Hospital Christmas Shopping Trip, which provides gifts for all of the children who are unable to go home and need to spend Christmas at our local Kosair Children's Hospital. Sports, Reality, TV and Movie Celebrities will be in attendance to mingle with the crowd, sign autographs and pose for pictures throughout the day and night. This is a unique event where you can win a silent auction item from Survivor and than have a celebrity from Survivor sign it. Our celebrities will be walking around, dancing and mingling throughout the night so there will be no standing in line for autographs with celebrities sitting behind tables. This is truly a unique event that you will want to be part of.
Last year’s Benefit Celebrity host was former L.A.P.D. police officer and "Leave it To Beaver" star Ken "Eddie Haskell" Osmond. Ken was joined by emcee "Francene" from 84 WHAS Radio here in Louisville. Ken and Francene were wonderful hosts and our crowd was in excess of 600 guests! Celebrity Guests are signing up to attend every day so watch the Attendees page to keep up with all the excitement.
Tickets for the 2009 Benefit and Kentucky Challenge are on sale now. The Kentucky Challenge is in full swing with participants raising money so they can be 1 of 10 Challengers to participate in the Kentucky Challenge at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom. The minimum entrance fee is $1000 raised. The Benefit once again will be $50.00 per ticket. We understand the economic times we are all in but we also know that the money we raise for the children at Kosair Hospital is a difference maker in every child’s life there.
We look forward to hosting this event and seeing you having fun all while raising money for a good cause.
