Guest Host Ken Osmond is best known for his role as Eddie Haskell on the original Leave It To Beaver television show. |
Osmond's playing of Eddie Haskell in the original series became a cultural reference, recognized as an archetype for the "behind-your-back" rebel. Teenager Eddie Haskell would be polite and obsequious to grown ups, but derided adults' social conventions behind their backs. He was constantly trying to involve his friends in activities that would get them into trouble and then refuse any responsibility in the matter. Eddie was the kind of friend parents such as Ward and June Cleave wish their children would limit association with, but need to have to gain learning experiences.
After his acting career, Osmond served 18 years as an officer with the Los Angeles Police Department. During his time on the force, he worked in vice, narcotics and as a motorcycle officer. He retired after being shot while chasing a suspected car thief. He was saved by his bulletproof vest and belt buckle.
Ken is making his fifth appearance at the Kentuckiana Police and Firefighter’s Summer Bash.

Churchill Downs
Horse racing in Kentucky is rich in history, dating back to 1789 when the first race course was laid out in Lexington. However, it was almost 100 years later, in 1875, that Churchill Downs officially opened and began its tradition as "Home of the Kentucky Derby." |
